I've been talking about doing this for some time. I wanted to create a blog about my involvement with Team Red, White and Blue. It's been an amazing adventure with this group and they do a lot of good. We also have some great times together which are worth sharing. Before we get going let's post the disclaimers:
Disclaimer #1: These are my views only and not those of Team RWB as a whole.
Disclaimer #2: I am a huge smartass and a very cynical person. It's not that I'm negative, it's just my nature. So take every thing with a grain of salt.
With that said, let's get this show on the road!
In case you don't know, Team Red, White and Blue is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to enrich the lives of veterans through physical and social activity. This is a low cost and easy way to connect our veterans to their community through weekly runs/walks, bike rides, 5K races, movie nights etc.. The sky is the limit, which is the beauty of Team RWB. There are chapters all over the U.S. with more popping up every day.
So here will be my first of many plugs: If you are a veteran and are looking for that camaraderie you missed when you were active, a veteran who just wants to help out other vets, a civilian who loves helping vets or any of the above who want to stay in shape or even get back in shape, then go to www.teamrwb.org and look for a chapter near you!
